Bar Mundial
A small, air-conditioning unpretentious bar-restaurant in La Ribera,
specializes in freshly cooked seafood, mainly plain-grilled. A single
parrillada (mixed seafood grill) platter is ample for two, and costs
just 2,200ptas. Fish soups are also recommended.
Evening booking is essential. Credit cards are not accepted.

Can Ramonet
Can Ramonet, is reportedly the oldest building in Barceloneta. The
operation was initiated in 1763 as a tavern and run since 1956 by
the Ballarνn family. A spectacular display of fresh seafood greets
you at the entrance. Eat tapas at the bar, or larger raci-ns at
one of the tables, perhaps lobster with clams, cod with romesco,
serrano ham or some of the best anchovies in town. Disabled facilities;
wheelchair access are available. Booking are advisable.

Cap Pep
Air conditioning, a brick-lined room decorated with a boar's head
restaurant serves seafood, grilled food and other local cuisine.
At bar, Pep himself keeps up a constant stream of chat with the
customers. He also runs the costlier Passadνs del Pep. Booking is
essential.

2400hrs (Mon -Sat)

Els Pescadors
An attractive restaurant located in a small old square back from
the beach area, with a beautiful outside terrace. The specialities
are refined Catalan fish and seafood dishes, and the oven-cooked
fish specials, using the pick of the same day's catch from ports
on the coast, are superb. Vegetarian options include a subtle amanida
d'herbes de marge (watercress salad) and vegetables in batter with
romesco sauce. Disabled facilities;wheelchair access are available.
