Borscht
Borscht is classical Russian soup. There are many different
recipes, but one brightly different colored favorite has beets
as its main ingredient. This dish is eaten cold in the summer
and hot in the winter. Sometimes meat or mushrooms from the
wood are added. Barley is also used to thicken it.

Kasha
Kasha (porridge) is a staple breakfast dish,
made with milk and oats, buckwheat or semolina.

Blini
Which consist of (small pancakes filled with caviar, fish,
melted butter or sour cream).

Tsipleonok tabaka
This is a chicken dish which the meat is roasted on a spit.

Shchi
Consist of stuffed cabbage leaves and sweet peppers that are
filled with boiled rice and minced meat. Mushrooms in sour
cream are very popular.

Vareniki
A desert that consist of dumplings containing fresh berries,
cherries or jam.

Russian-Style Chicken Cutlets
A simple and tasty cutlets. Ground chicken is used, and a
bit of butter and cream keeps the meat moist. The butteriness
of the juicy cutlets contrasts beautifully with the racy freshness
of an uncomplicated red wine. A Beaujolais from France
or a merlot from Trentino in Northern Italy, will be
perfect.
