Administration
The Hawaiian governor is elected for a four-year term period. The
legislature consists of a 25-member Senate and a 51-member House
of Representatives. In Hawaii's unique system of local government
there are no incorporated municipalities; all local governmental
functions are divided among four administrative counties and the
state department of health. Hawaii elects two members each to the
U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, giving it four
electoral votes in presidential elections.
