Deep Sea Game Fishing
The Cook Islands offers exceptional opportunities for
deepsea game fishing as well as saltwater fly and light
tackle sports fishing. Both Rarotonga and Aitutaki remain
virtually undiscovered by the world's sea angling fraternity,
much to the delight of aficionadoes who have been keeping
the secret safe for the past 30 years.

Cross Island Trek
This trek is by far the most popular among visitors.
A four and a half hour trek through the center of the
island, on paths known to be historical war paths of
Cook Island Ancestral warriors. Starting on the townside
of the island, a 45 minute intense rock climbing brings
you to the edge of the very popular "Needle" mountain,
where you can experience 360 degree panoramic views
of the entire island.
The next three hours entails winding down paths onwards
to the Southern side of the island where you will have
the opportunity to swim in the freshwater waterfall
commonly known as "Wigmore's Waterfall".

The Rarotonga Sailing Club
The Rarotonga Sailing Club on beautiful Muri Lagoon
is home to the island's yacht fanatics. The Sailing
Club is welcome to all sailing enthusiasts and it has
an array of vessels for your pleasure. Host to a fully
licensed restaurant and bar, spend the day and feel
at home with the natural hospitality of the Cook Islands
people.

Rarotonga Golf Club
The Rarotongan Golf Club at Nikao offers a challenging
9 hole course which many play as 18. International standards
of proper golfing attire applies on the golf course
and club house.

Rarotongan Beach Resort
Tennis courts are available at The Rarotongan Beach
Resort and Edgewater Resorts. There are additional tennis
courts in various villages around the island, which
double as netball courts. These courts however are just
basic, with no lights and netting provided.

Rarotongan Bowling Club
Lawn bowls with international standard greens. Located
in Avarua beside the National television station.
Business hours are Mondays to Fridays, from 10am to
4pm.
