Further north from St Paul's Bay lies the town of Mellieha,
which sits on top of a hill, overlooking the 'tail end'
of Malta. It is also surrounded by fertile valleys and most
spots provide good panoramas of the countryside, the Bay
(which has the longest beach in Malta) and northwards towards
Comino and Gozo.
Recent developments, together with one of the best villa
estates in Malta, have made the town popular with Maltese
and visitors alike. One can also find some good restaurants,
hotels and holiday apartments.
