People
Most Germans are of northern or central European descent, united
by a common language. Since the 1950s many people from Turky, Italy
and Yugoslavia have also come to the country to work.
Germany's population of about 80 million makes it the second most
populated country in Europe after Russia. Education has always been
very important to the Germans. Most people live in or near towns
and cities where the country's many thriving industries are based.

The language spoken is German.
Religion
The dominating religion is Christianity, although there are sprinklings
of other religions.
