International Food Fair
National Cultural Center Grounds, 8th November,
2000
Organised by the St. Lucia Tourist Board with proceeds going
to local charities, the International Food Fair will feature
a variety of foods from different countries. Foods ranging
from authentic japanese cuisine to St. Lucia's creole cooking
will be displayed and on sale. The event is enhanced with
entertainment and displays of national wear.
Food will be featured from Africa, Bangladesh, Barbados, France,
Guyana, Grenada, India, Ireland, Jamaica, Japan, Russia, St.
Lucia, Syria, Trinidad & Tobago, and Ukraine.
Tickets can be purchased at the Pointe Seraphine Jazz shop
and the St Lucia Tourist Board Office on Jeremie Street.
The group October 4 will perform at the fair and the Japanese
community will feature a judo exhibition.

Atlantic Rally For Cruisers
December 2000
Rodney Bay in Saint Lucia is the end-point of the Atlantic
Rally For Cruisers, an annual, global yacht race across the
Atlantic. More than 100 yachts sail to the island from the
Canary Islands' Gran Canaria for a week of events and parties.
Launched in 1986, the ARC has become a regular event on the
international sailing calendar.

National Day
13th December, 2000
Beach games, swimming competitions and canoe races are all
part of the National Day festivities, celebrated each December
13. Among the more unusual activities are blindfolded boxing
and catching a greasy pig.
