Kongju, the capital of ancient Paekche Kingdom
is located northwest of Mt. Kyeryongsan National Park. The
museum exhibits treasures from the 6th century tomb of King
Munyong.
Although most Paekche tombs were pillaged over the centuries,
King Munyong's tomb was left undisturbed until its excavation
in 1971.
