Brazilian Shrimp Soup
A true Brazilian version includes slices of okra, mixed with
coconut milk. The sweet elements in this dish calls for a
somewhat assertive sweetness in the wine as well. A Vouvray
demi-sec wine, from France's Loire Valley, has the right balance.

Grilled Chicken with Spicy Brazilian Tomato and Coconut
Sauce
Redolent of ginger and jalapenos, the tomato sauce is a lively
addition to plain grilled chicken. This spicy dish will demolish
any subtlety in a wine. A fresh white wine such as a pinot
bianco from northern Italy, a slightly chilled red such as
Beaujolais from France, or a beer, will go well with this
dish.
