ByWard Market
Just east of Parliament Hill off Sussex Drive, this Market has been a centre of commerce for Ottawa since the 19th century. Originally named Bytown, this major tourist attraction grew from a farmer's market, to become the home to 350 unique boutiques, cafes and services. Everything from fresh fruit, fish, vegetables, maple syrup and flowers are still available. A must see when staying in Ottawa!!

Sparks Street Mall
Canada's first pedestrian mall, many summer activities and unique three-block outdoor market. Only one block south of Parliament Hill, Sparks Street is within seconds of other prime tourist destinations. Fresh air, live music, all make Sparks Street a great place to shop.

Somerset Heights
Shop, dine and do business in Ottawa's only Asian marketplace. In Somerset Heights you'll find everything from ginseng to golf clubs, dim sum to diamonds. And, with over 250 parking spaces available, you can spend a worry-free day shopping and then stay for dinner.

Québec City's Farmer's Market
Québec City's Farmer's Market is situated on Rue St André in Old Lower Town. Fresh bread, cheeses, fruit and vegetables are some of the items for sale. Saturday mornings are quite busy, but it is the best time to visit the place.

Marché de Maisonneuve
The Marché de Maisonneuve is situated on the corner of Rue Ontario and Avenue Létour-neaux. All these markets are open every day, but Saturdays are by far the best day to attend.

Atwater Market
Atwater Market (south on Avenue Atwater) you can buy one of Québec's specialities - maple syrup. Often it is the farmers producing it that sell it themselves, and they will answer any questions about the treat.
