The Yueyang Tower is situated at the confluence of the
Yangtze River and Lake Dongting in the northeast of Hunan
Province. Since ancient times, Lake Dongting, Yueyang Tower
and Junshan Island have been reputed as famous tourist attractions.
Yueyang is known as a land of rice and fish. Its native
products such as Dongting fish, Junshan tea and Yuezhou
fans are famous both locally and internationally.
