West Lake, which was built in the Jin Dynasty
is the largest park in Fuzhou. Its present name is derived
from its location. Many poets and scholars often went there
to write poems and articles. With many years' construction,
West Lake became famous for its scenic spot consisting of
a lake of 20 hectares and ground area of over 20 hectares.
There are other interesting places within the area that
can be explored such as a zoo, three islets and temples.
