One of China's largest and best preserved
imperial gardens, the 290 hectares Summer Palace is located
10km northwest of Beijing city. It consists mainly of Kunming
Lake and Longevity Hill dotted with halls and pavilions.
Places of interest in the garden include the Long Corridor
of 728m, the Pavilion of Buddha's Fragrance, the Bronze
Pavilion and the Marble Boat mooring forever by the lakeshore.
