The site of the former General headquarters
of the August 1st Nanchang Armed Uprising is located at
the middle of Zhongshan Road and is now the museum of the
Uprising. Also in the city are other sites of former governments
such as the Officers Training Corps under the command of
Marshal Zhu De and the Headquarters of the 20th Army Corps
led by Marshal He Long. The Monument of the August 1st Nanchang
Armed Uprising was erected in 1977 at the People's Square,
the center of the city.
