Located in the mountains 30km north of the
Jixian County seat, the Great Wall section at Huangya Pass
was first built in 556. It was redesigned and overhauled
in the Ming Dynasty when the famous general Qi Jiguang acted
as the chief commander in Jizhen Town. Located here is China's
first Great Wall Museum and a collection of modern steles
with inscription about the Great Wall.
