Jingdezhen is well known as the "Capital
of Porcelain" with a history of more than 1,000 years in
the porcelain industry. The white glazed porcelain is well
known in many countries and regions and is praised as "artificial
jade" during the Sui and Tang dynasties.
The museum, located on the southeast of Lianhua Pool in
the city was founded in 1954. It now has more than 500 ancient
porcelain products of different dynasties and over 1,500
porcelain wares of new works on display.
