Description of the flag

The flag and arms are prescribed by decision Odlok o grbu in zastavi obcine Starse, published in 1996 in the official local gazette Medobcinski uradni vestnik stajerske in Koroske regije, nr. 28/96.

The symbols were designed by Valt Jurecic of Heraldika d.o.o. and Heraldica Slovenica, who kindly provided drawings from which the images shown on this page were made.

The flag is rectangular in ratio 2:5, vertically divided green-yellow (1:1), the green field containing the attribute from the coat of arms, the five wheat stalks bound with a ribbon. with yellow fir cones and trunks.

The coat of arms can be blazoned as follows:

Vert five corn stalks or bound by a ribbon argent and in base azure fimbriated of the third a mill wheel issuant of the second.
