Christmas Day
Solomon Islands, 25th December, 2000
Christmas is celebrated in a traditional custom, here in the
islands. Often celebrated starting with an eve mass, in churches,
then proceeded with a family meal, usually beginning with
a fruit cake together with wine. Holiday presents are then
exchanged after dinner. Although, some families does not practice
this, as it is not a custom, and has been commercialized.
Friends and families go for visiting on the next day, bringing
souvenirs or gifts.
