The city was once a remote Spanish mission and was featured as navy and marine bases. Now, the city regained a name as a leader in scientific research and a perfect place to live, do business or visit as a tourist. In addition to the wonderful climate, its historic attractions such as the San Diego Museum of Art, Maritime Museum and Museum of Contemporary Art and the famous parks including San Diego Wild Animal Park, Stephen Birch Aquarium- Museum, Balboa Park and Cabrillo National Monument are among the attraction for visitors in this metropolitan city.
