Orlando Guide
United States of America > Orlando
Once known as the 'city built on the peel of an orange,' Orlando
has become a tourist mecca and high tech center. Orlando used
to be just another quiet Florida town where gator wrestling
was the unofficial pastime. Until when Walt Disney opened
up shop and transformed the area into the world's most popular
tourist destination.
Don't miss a chance for a visit here, although many people
believe Walt Disney World is just the Magic Kingdom for
children, it's much, much more for everybody. It's the world's
largest amusement park and a vast blending of technology,
entertainment, health spas, and many more unexpected facilities
that are ready for you.
Roller-coaster lovers won't want to miss this, Thunder
Mountain Railroad, and Splash Mountain is another must-do
if you can stomach the final hill, fully viewable from the
outside.
A spectacular Orlando Science Center, which has a gator
hole and the physics-phriendly Tunnel of Discovery; and
the Orlando Museum of Art, which showcases Mayan archeological
finds. These heart-pounding highlights, have attracted many
visitors coming to Orlando.
Orlando International Airport, in the far southeastern
corner of the city, is the largest in central Florida. It's
served by almost all major airlines in domestic and international
flights.
