This zoo is located on the English Channel Island of Jersey.
And was founded by Gerald Durrell. The zoo protects endangered
wild life among them is the Flat tailed tortoise, or also
know as Kapidolo in Madagascar.They normally spend six months
of the year hibernating and then wake up for a frenzy of
activity, feeding, mating, laying eggs etc. The eggs incubate
for at least six months and would then hatch the following
season.
