Description of the flag

Bosnia and Herzegovina (People's Republic of, until 1963, later Socialist Republic until 1992?), had a most complicated flag - since there was no historical flag for it.
The flag was red with a small, yellow fimbrated Yugoslav flag in canton. The flag in canton was very small, less then 1/4 of length. Red stood for comunism. The flag was officially adopted on 31 December 1946.

The flag in the actual use had, not unusually, a much bigger canton, and most often, the Yugoslav flag was in a "free canton", i.e. had a wide red outline on all sides.
