In December 1997, the town (municipality) of Kraljevo, in central Serbia, adopted armorial achievments and the banner of arms. Author is Dr. Mijat Ivanovic, lawyer from Vienna, of Kraljevo descent (Revision by Serbian Heraldry Society)

The name of the city Kraljevo might be tentatively translated into English as "King's town", which is surely a reason for choice of crowns in the coat of arms.
