Description of the flag

The flag of Stafford County is white with the County Seal depicted thereon. The Seal contains the Courthouse which is red brick with white columns, a white triangular roof line and a white bell tower. A blue sky frames the top of the building. The sidewalk appears as white with green grass of both sides. An American flag is flying from a flagpole on the lawn. Circled around the Courthouse is a black border containing fringes of white on its inner and outer surfaces. Within the black border and above the Courthouse is "STAFFORD COUNTY VIRGINIA" in white letters. The phrase "PROGRESS SINCE 1664" appears in the border under the Courthouse.
