Milford, Ohio, sits on the Little Miami River. It was founded in 1815 and was incorporated in 1836. The name Milford was given to the town because it was the first safe ford north of the Ohio River across the Little Miami. It lies in southwestern Ohio, 16 miles (25 km) east of Cincinnati, in Clermont County. Population, approximately 6300. The seal says:
