I noticed the flag of the City of Gulfport, Mississippi. The flag of the second largest city in the state is
blue with the city logo centered upon it. The logo is a quartered circle. In the upper left, there is a boat symbolizing shipping. The upper right has a view of the city and an airplane symbolizing the air links of the city with the world. The lower symbols are an old home and a sailboat symbolizing the history of the city and its recreation, respectively. The city name is blazoned across the center of the disk.
The proportions are a de facto 2:3. It was designed by Janice White about 1995. The flag originally had a white background; however, shortly thereafter, the flag's background was changed to blue. The flag has never been adopted officially.
