FLAG FOR DEKALB: Commission Chairman Brince H. Manning Jr. accepted the first copy of DeKalb County's first official flag from Durward Gerson, president of the firm commissioned to manufacture it, as Jackson Bailey, DeKalb artist who designed the banner, looked on. Approved by the DeKalb Historical Society and the Board of Commissioners, the flag is white with gold border and carries the county seal in gold and royal blue against a silhouette of Stone Mountain in Confederate Gray.
