About the Soviet Navy

The Navy of USSR had 4 broad-pennants: All they had the navy ensign at the hoist and the fly of different colours:

Victor Lomantsov, 17 Nov 2000

The only pre-1972 use of two-letter abbreviations on Soviet uniforms that I know of is the Navy’s use of BF (for Baltic Fleet), SF (for Northern Fleet), TF (for Pacific Fleet) and ChF (for Black Sea Fleet) and F (for General Fleet Service).
