Moldova ASSR, created 12 October 1924 in the
Ukrainian zone of Balta.
The flag was adopted probably in 1925. Was in use
until 1929 when the hammer and sickle disappear.
"RSSU" was suppressed near 1935, and the hammer
and sickle was added (above of YPCP) in 1937.

This flag was introduced by Constitution of 1941, article 123.
The official text of Constitution regulated neither the typeface
of the letters nor the curved form of the inscription.

This flag was replaced by a new one
in 31 January 1952.
