Zlaté Moravce, in Hungarian Aranyosmarót, was till 1920 seat of Bars (in Slovakian Tekov) County. In 1990 it had 15 820 inhabitants.

CoA of Zlate Moravce city.
Two keys in CoA represent two st.Peter's keys. There was the st.Peter's church in 16th century which was ruined during the fights with Turks. A new temple of St.Michael was built in 18th century. Moon represents Turkish domination in Midde Ages. Star is the symbol of emperor.  Zlate Moravce city has 15618 inhabitants and all district has 43622 inhabitants (31.12.2001)
