Snina is the easternmost Zemplin town on the confluence of the Pcolinka
and Cirocha rivers is surrounded with the forest of Nizke Beskydy and Vihorlat
mountains. It is supported by documents from 1343 (Zynna). It was
an estate of Druget family from Humenné and since 1799 of the iron-magnate
Jozef Rholl; he bought it from the Vanderat family. In 1815, he founded
the steelworks and iron-mills. Agricultural tools, cast-iron products,
dishes, etc. were produced. Between 1909-1912 the railway Humenne
