Prebold has the status of municipality since 1998.
Zeljko Heimer, 24 January 2000
The flag and arms of Prebold are prescribed by decision Odlok o grbu in zastavi Obçine Prebold, adopted on 30 September 1999 and published in the official Slovene gazette Uradni list Republike Slovenije, 88/1999.
The flag is rectangular in ratio 2:5, horizontally divided yellow over green with the coat of arms in the middle.
Zeljko Heimer, 24 September 2002
The coat of arms can be blazoned as:
Or bordered sable, on a mount vert a castle argent windowed and roofed sable towered on corners, in base a bar azure.
The coat of arms pictures the late Renaissance castle of Prebold, with watchtowers on corners, on a green hill over the Bolska river. This representation of the castle, although simplified, is indeed fairly accurate.
The height of the blue stripe is 1/10 of total height, just as is the upper green part of the mount; height of the field below the blue stripe is 1/3 of total height, width of the castle (with towers) is 2/3 of total width.
