Description of the flag

The flag and coat of arms of Sveti Jurij are prescribed in the municipal status Statut Obcine Sveti Jurij ob Szavnici, adopted on 28 September 1999 and published in the official Slovene gazette Uradni list Republike Slovenije, 29/2000.

The flag is vertical, vertically divided yellowish-green blue with the coat of arms set in the middle of the upper half.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms of Sveti Jurij pictures St. George (Slovenian: Sveti Jurij) slayering the dragon. Quoting the aforementioned statutes: "The coat of arms is in a shield shape with a white background, on it there is a stylized image of a rider who pierces a dragon with a spear. The rider has a silver helmet and armour, blue clothes, red coat and saddle. The horse is white-silver and the dragon is chrome- oxide green."
