list Republike Slovenije, nr. 12, 13 March1992., pp. 793-4, with
effect on 20 March 1992.
This decision superseded a previous decision of 1989 published in
Uradni list Republike Slovenije nr. 30/89.
The flag is rectangular in ratio 1:2, horizontally divided white-yellow with the coat of arms in the middle.
There is no mention of vertical hoisting.

The coat of arms of Slovenske Konjice is canting - Slovenian konj means a horse. It is modeled on the seal of the trading place Konjice of year 1580, showing a silver unsaddled rampant horse on red field, outlined in golden. The coat of arms in the present shape has been in use at least since the 1970s.
