Coat of arms

[Coat of arms of Radece]by Zeljko Heimer

The temporary Statutes of the Municipality of Radece, adopted on 14 January1995, prescribes the use of the coat of arms of the town of Radece as the municipal coat of arms. The Statutes only prescribe that the coat of arms and flag shall be determined by a decision, but such decision was apparently not made yet.

In the mean time, the municipality still uses the historical coat of arms of Radece, which is:

Azure five dices argent dotted sable, 4-1-5-2-3.

It may be noted that Valvasor's collection (XVIIth cetnury, now in Zagreb National Library) gives an other coat of arms for Radece, that is:

Gules three lozenges argent in bend.
