Description of the flag

The flag and arms are prescribed by decision Odlok o grbu, zastavi, obcinskem prazniku in nagradah v Obcini Kungota, adopted on 4 July 1997, and published in the official Slovene gazette Uradni list Republike Slovenije, nr. 55/97, 11 September 1997.

The flag is rectangular in ratio 1:2, horizontally divided yellow-green with the coat of arms in the middle.

Flag in smaller size

The aforementioned decision prescribes two versions of the flag, in smaller and larger sizes. The flags larger then 1 x 2 meters have a smaller coat of arms, whereas smaller flags have the coat of arms relatively larger. This is undoubtly a way of making the coat of arms more visible on the smaller flags. The height of the coat of arms is 22.5% of the flag length for larger flags and 27.5% for smaller ones.
