Description of the flag

The coat of arms and flag of Diplek are prescribed by decision Odlok o grbu, zastavi, obcinskem prazniku ter priznanjih obcine Duplek, published in the regional official gazette Medobcinski uradni vestnik 2 / 1997, p. 26.

The charge in the blue field, is apparently a raft, as used on Drava river. The animal is described as "black dragon with body of a snake", and is part of the coat of arms of the rulers of Vurberk (maybe Wurberg in German), which I presume is the old name of the municipality.
