The flag of Lajas (Flagstones) consists of three horizontal
fringes; the one of up of green color, that of the means of white
color and the one of under yellow canary. A fourth fringe, of
same width to the previous ones, it crosses these up and down in
such a way that forms a cross at two fifth parts of their border.
In the center of that cross, where they unite their two arms,
there is a pineapple stubborn of the color characteristic of a
mature pineapple (orange). it Surrounds that cross eleven stars
with color gold, prepared in the following form: five are in the
north part (superior) of the flag and six in its it leaves south
(inferior) in such a way that all united ones form a I circulate.
The fringe green color means the Valley of Flagstones, the
agriculture in all their extension. The fringe colour yellow
canary means the wealth of our floor. The white, among-crossed
color fringes, they mean the union of all the distant to point
out a town of love, peace and friendship. The cross that is of
the crossing of the two white fringes, means the religiosity of
our town, the faith in God and in the beliefs of this faith.

Flag adopted 13 September 1982. The green color signifies the
Valley of Lajas and agiculture. The yellow color stands for the
richness of the soil. White is for the love, peace and friendship
shared in the pueblo. The cross symbolizes religion. Lajas was
founded in 1883. It is in southwest Puerto Rico with 32,744 inh..
