Pińczów County flag

[Pińczow County flag] by Jens Pattke, 16 Oct 2001

The Pińczów county flag and CoA are on this webpage; adopted 26 Jun 2001.
Jarig Bakker, 16 Oct 2001

Renaissance shield of light blue (it is a color of Swietokrzyskie Voivodship), rounded up at the base with the gold horseshoe in the middle. Inside the horseshoe is a double patriarchal cross and a silver letter "W" at the right-bottom of the cross. It is a combination of the arms "Debno" (Olesnicki clan - founders of the city of Pinczow - cross with "W" under its arm) and arms "Jastrzebiec" (Myszkowski clan - -horseshoe with the cross inside). Double armed patriarchal cross is the CoA of the
Benedictines of the Holy Cross Mountain and serves as a symbol of Swietokrzyskie Voividship. Also it is used in the arms of the counties of that Voivodship. The flag of the Pinczow County is a tautological image of the arms.
