About Dir

Like the other pre-independence states of the North West Frontier Province, Dir saw its independence restricted in 1954 and was abolished in 1972.

Description of the flag

A triangular green flag with a white border. An eagle (?) at upper hoist, a hand at lower hoist, white crescent and star in the point of the trinagle. A lot of Arabic (?) scripts all over the flag.
