The info about Tuamotu I believe that currently is doubtful yet. The Kingdom flag is exactly the reported one, but the unofficial flag after 1975 I'm not sure of because Banderas reported the flag with 24 stars; Vexillinfo with 12 stars; Flags of Paradise 1996 reported 16 stars; and Vexillinfo reported also a flag with 8 stars in line (like the old flag of the kingdom, but blue stars). The flag with 16 stars is reported under the label of Matahiea (perhaps a native name or political name) and is asociated hipotetically with Matahiva.

Jaume Ollé, 23 August 1998

In the Flags of Aspirant Peoples chart appears "177. Tuamotu Islands - Subdivision, French Polynesia". Similar to the historical Tuamotu flag, but with proportions 1:2. The latter comes from the Flags of Paradise 1996 chart, companion of the Flags of Aspirant Peoples chart, so two releases of the same origin show two different proportions!

Saquet 1998 says about this flag:

Recent flag of 1975, this flag flies above many town-halls of the Tuamotu achipelago, except of Anaa, birthplace of the Pomare royal family. The 16 stars placed on the white stripe represent the 16 municipalities of the archipelago.
