Description

The Marquesas Islands seem to have a flag which is yellow over red with a white triangle at the hoist with a TiKi head.

Pascal Vagnat, 14 December 1995

No official adoption. Was first hoisted 14 December 1980 at the opening of Desert Land airfield on Nuku Hiva, and regularly used after 1984.

Jaume Ollé, 5 April 1999

In the Flags of Aspirant Peoples chart appears: "178. Marquesas Islands - Subdivision, French Polynesia." Similar to the Marquesas flag in FOTW, but with proportion 1:2.
