Shipmate Flagchart : http://www.shipmate.nl/flags.htm
adopted c. 1938
Description: Two equally wide horizontal stripes of white and blue,
with in the center the municipal arms in white with nine red lozenges.
This flag was instituted in 1938 (or 1937?) by municipal resolution.
It is not clear why the CoA on the flag has other colors than the municipal
arms. Did the municipality want to use the Dutch national colors?
