Avenhorn [former municipality]

Avenhorn [voormalige gemeente]

This former municipality of Noordholland is since 1979 part of Wester-Koggenland. It had (1960) 1700 inhabitants on 834 hectares. It is a rural community, 10 km west of the city of Hoorn.

Sierksma (1962) mentions as municipal colors black, green and yellow.
