Wymbritseardeel/Wymbritseradiel is in southwest Friesland
The flag (adopted 1984?) contains the lily, which probably symbolizes the medieval feuding party of 'Schieringers'. The ship is a medieval
'koggeschip', pointing at Staveren as a member of the Hanseatic League.

Doniawerstal was a municipality in southwest Friesland, south of Sneek. It consisted mainly of grassland and lakes. Capital: Langweer
(well known with nice weather sailors :-). The municipality was dissolved in 1984; part went to Wymbritseradiel and part went to Skarsterlān.
Flag adopted 23 August 1963. Design by the 'Fryske Rie foar Heraldyk' (Frisian Council for Heraldry). Yellow is the color of the field of
the municipal CoA; blue of the globe in the CoA and black of the cross on the globe. Red is the color of the arm holding the globe. Source:

Doniawerstal
Flag: "A hoist of red and blue and a yellow fly and over all a black
scandinavian cross; the width of the arms of the cross amounts to 1/5th of the
height of the flag. Established 23-8-1963.
Under Doniawerstal it says that Langweer is the capital, that the red and yellow
are squares, and that the shield is:
Gold, charged with a red arm, coming from the right side of the shield, holding
in the hand a reversed world orb azure, whereof the cross is black.
Under Municipal flags the flags is shown to have red and blue squares, therefore
the "red and yellow" of the second description is most likely in
error.
Under Municipal arms the black and white redition of the shield appears to
display the arm "clothed red with a hand proper", like in the
Lemsterland arms.
I don't know of an actual English term "world orb", but in Dutch there
are different words for this type of "orb": "Rijksappel" and
"wereldappel", lit. "realm apple" resp. "world
apple". Though I don't know whether the depiction would differs, the Dutch
text speaks of an "aardkloot", a globe. Since it's supposed to have a
cross it's not a model of the earth, but rather an Orb. However, the reference
to the whole earth would make it a "wereldappel", hence "world
orb".

IJlst - Drylts is one of the eleven Frisian cities, just south of Sneek. The name is derived from the river Ee - Ie, streaming through
the town. It was founded when that river streamed southward from the 'Middelzee'. Compared with Sneek IJlst remained a small town, although it was
renowned because of its skate-manufacturing company 'Nooitgedacht'. Shipyards abounded in its environment. Now it is virtually part of
Sneek.
The ship on the flag is a 'kogge', a medieval vessel, symbolizing the shipbuilding tradition of the town. IJlst was made part of
Wymbritseradeel in 1984, but will continue to use this flag (I presume).
