Municipal flag

Dronten was one of the first towns of the Flevopolders in the former Zuiderzee. It is close to the town of Kampen in Overijssel.

The municipality of Dronten consists of the villages Dronten, Biddinghuizen en Swifterbant and the outlying places Ketelhaven and Roggebotsluis. The area is 420 sq. km. on which c. 34.000 people live.
