On 22 April 1998 David Prothero asked:

"The Royal (British) Navy Church pennant was, and still is, red over white over blue with the Cross of St. George at the hoist. This could be construed as the English flag and the Dutch flag joined together.
So what's the Dutch Church pennant?"
The kerkwimpel (church pennant) of the Koninklijke Marine (Royal Netherlands Navy) is the same (Dutch tricolour with Cross of St. George at the hoist).
