1:2 flag, horizontally divided black-red, with the municipal
emblem shifted to the hoist.
The emblem shows a mountain, a bridge over a river, and
Skanderbeg's helmet placed on a red field
between two cypresses. The Albanian connection seems to be evident.
The elements of the emblem are common in several of I. Kadare's
books.

Negotino poloshko is a town of c. 3,000 inhabitants, located some 20 km south of Tetovo in the Polog plain, therefore the attribute poloshko. This attribute is used to differentiate the city from Negotino, a bigger city of the same name located in the Vardar valley in central Macedonia. The region is with Albanian majority, as it is clearly visible from the design of the flag.
