3:5 horizontal yellow flag with the coat of arms shifted to the
hoist.
The coat of arms shows a landscape with mountains, a river and a
railway, lit by a sun similar to the one on the Macedonian national
flag placed in a blue sky. A red scroll stretching over the basis of
the shield bears the city name.

Demir-Kapija is a own of c. 3,000 inhabitants located near the gates of the same name. Those gates are cliffs among which the river Vardar is swiftly passing. In the past, the gates had an extremly important role as the passage from continental Europe to the Aegean plains, the railway being just one of the possible means of passage, but certainly the main of them.
