The city or commune is Giardini Naxos, Sicily, immediately to
the south of Taormina. The gonfalon was blessed by the
Bishop of Messina in a ceremony hosted by Lions International of
Italy in a visit through the region. Also present were
representatives of Malta, Split (Spolato) of Croatia,
Rhône-Alpes Region of France (Roma Augusta), and Italy (Roma
Palatina). I think I have attached the correct Imperial names to
the areas, and it is curious the usage of these terminology in
the 21st Century. Is this still common in Italian
Organizations or other entities?
